Sail Training builds confidence, and the best way to build self esteem is to sail on a tall ship. Our tall ship Bob Allen is specially designed and built for younger sailors (10 years +).

We are accessible. We are fun. Welcome aboard TS Bob Allen!

·  2+5

·  Captain

·  Deckhand

·  + Five Trainees

(big steady boat, little ropes with light loads, very easy to sail)

We sail for three hours with five new trainees – one to steer and four to pull the ropes. And with a hundred ropes there’s lots to do.

We can sail with younger trainees, disabled trainees, people who are not sure about sailing on a bigger ship or people who have sailed on bigger ships and want to revisit the fun.

We can make anyone familiar with square rig and how it works (tacking, wearing, different sail combinations) in a morning.

Stick us on a lowloader and find a crane that can lift 8 tonnes and we can sail on any bit of water miles away from the sea.

·
Steel hull

· Bilge keels – she can sit on dry land unpropped

· 30 foot long (42 feet including bowsprit)

· Draws less than 4 feet

· 30 hp engine

· Two masts, six yards, ten sails

We're currently planning our 2010 season, if you're interested in coming sailing please get in touch with us. Give us a call on 07876345968 or email max@littlebrig.com or amy@littlebrig.com.
